Above is an audio journal of Jonathan Crane experience at Sled Island.
A few weeks ago I reached out to this music festival called Sled Island to see if we can do press for them. The funny thing about this is this music festival is in Calgary. And so I waited and did not really expect much. But to my surprise, I get an email back from Paul whose doing PR for Sled Island, and Paul was like you’ve been approved.
At that moment I was super excited cause I was like “Wow, our very first Canadian Music Festival”. However, what I didn’t know was that the festival would be in like 3 days and so I was like “Shoot! There is no way that I can make it to Calgary that fast” so I was starting to think maybe I can’t make this happen. But before I gave up I was like let me see if I can get someone to help us out. I reached out to a friend who DJs in Calgary and I was like do you know anyone. And my friend was like yeah, my friend Jonathan Crane. I reached out to Jonathan and he was like yeah I’m down to do this.
I have to say that Jonathan Crane didn’t disappoint what he provided was an amazing audio commentary on the music festival. And what was cool was this was told from the perspective of someone who’s in Calgary and knows the scene. So, you get that true and authentic perspective of what Sled Island means to Calgary and to the music scene over there.
I wanted to give a big thank you to Jonathan Crane for being down to do this. Truly appreciate it!
