We're grateful for Treefort Music Fest. And here's why.
A recap of Treefort 10 and past Treeforts.
Each year that Treefort is happening TWE's involvement gets bigger. During the first appearance we were granted press coverage and I remember taking some pretty sick photos and getting to talk to some really cool artists. And all of this wouldn’t have happened without the amazing Angel Abaya who gave us that opportunity. And who we actually interviewed at Treefort in 2021. Without Angel giving TWE a chance to do press none of what I’m going to talk about would have happened! So, I give all of the credit and praise to Angel for taking a chance on us! Also, a big thank you to you all who’ve continued to support TWE and have given us the ability to create this amazing platform.
Treefort 9 which I got the opportunity to experience with the amazing Blake my friend was legendary for many reasons. One was that we got to interview some amazing artists such as Chong The Nomad, Angel Abaya, Smokey Brights, Mckenna Esteb, and many more. It was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Treefort has this energy that is unmatched and it’s a place where you can just explore music in such an honest and raw way. Everyone who is at Treefort is just here to enjoy themselves there isn’t this sense of trying to act cool. It’s purely for the music which I love.
Now, Treefort 10, was even more legendary because we got the opportunity to record a live podcast episode! I’ve never done something like this in my entire life. And although I didn’t get to spend the whole week at Treefort due to work. The Saturday & Sunday I was there it still felt like I was at home. I want to give a huge thank you to Alisha Graefe (Podcast Programmer/Treefort Archivist) for taking a chance on us! When I saw that Treefort was looking for a podcast I literally sent the application the day of and didn’t expect to get it but Alisha saw something in us and that will forever be a highlight of my Treefort experience that I’ll never forget. Also, want to say a big thank you to Coral Grief & Atlas Engine for being down to have me interview them last minute for our live podcast episode. This episode will be coming out soon. I also got to meet the amazing and talented Vox Rea. It was amazing to meet Vox Rea but also amazing because I got to see them perform and that was really special.
I would be lying to you that Treefort 10 was just any old Treefort and that I was looking forward to it. In reality, I almost didn’t even make it to Treefort 10 for many reasons such as work. But with everything that happens with TWE timing was everything. I needed to go to Treefort 10 to really realize how far TWE has grown and how important that TWE continues. I left Treefort 10 not only just fulfilled but refreshed and it solidified why TWE was created and how amazing it is. It was an experience that I will hold dear to me for the rest of my life for many reasons.
Lastly, without any of the support, you all give TWE wouldn’t be able to get these opportunities. I will always say this without you all TWE is nothing. It’s just some random music thing that Daniel created. You all bring life and joy to TWE. So, thank you to you all for making this happen!
Here are some photos from past Treefort & present Treeforts that we’d love to share with you all!
