We Saw Blu DeTiger In Seattle And We Are Glad We Did it.
The following article you are going to be reading was written by Marian Bernal of The Wandering Ear. TWE sent out Marian to Blu DeTiger show in Seattle and here is what Marian had to say.
A Monday night concert is the perfect way to start off the week, especially when you get to share such an intimate space with a talented artist like Blu DeTiger. I got to experience for the first time the magic of watching a show in The Crocodile live music venue in Seattle, Washington where you really felt one with the artist. I was early enough to get a spot in the front row (which never happens for me) and feel the room transform into a warm space full of music lovers as the show neared Blu's set time. As lights began to dim and background music started to fade, the screams of excited fans erupted around me.
And in came the person we’ve all been anticipating to see… Blu DeTiger. Blu’s stage presence was one of those star-quality factors about her that not many artists out there can replicate or hold. She really let herself loose, felt the music, and opened the space for everyone to follow her lead of self-expression. The head banging was everything to watch as she lit up the room like a true rockstar. If this is what all her shows are like then count me in to be at every single one!
Something I admired about watching Blu perform is the way she interacted with her fans which I haven’t really seen before in concerts. It was all in the simple smile, wave, touching of hands, and the way she knelt down to the audience on a personal level when playing her guitar. It really felt as though she was one with us and we were one with her.
Not only did Blu acknowledge her fans in a loving way but she even went to the extent of bringing one lucky person up to play the bass with her. At first, I was a bit nervous for her when she literally had someone climb onto the stage from the audience (the security officer in me) but it worked out so genuinely for everyone to witness. I watched as Blu cared for her fan in this one-on-one interaction as the two played alongside each other. The audience was in awe, I was in awe…you just had to be there. When the jam session ended I also couldn’t help but feel butterflies for the lucky fan as Blu brought them in for multiple hugs before parting ways to continue the show.
Artists like Blu make the experience of going to a concert so much more enjoyable when you can really see and feel how much the artist loves their craft and the people who support them for it. We were all just fans of music dancing in a room that night getting to experience a night of good times together brought to us by Blu DeTiger.
