UPSAHL stops by Club Congress in Tucson before hitting the road

Over the last few years, we haven't found an artist that we've followed as closely as Upsahl. 

Since we first met and got the chance to sit down with her at Phoenix’s ZONA Music Festival back in 2022, the Los Angeles by way of Phoenix singer/songwriter has continued to amass an incredible fan base all over the world. 

The last time we spoke to her, she was getting ready to hit the road on tour and finish an album that was already in the works. At her Tucson show on 5/15/2024, we learned that all that and more has happened! 

The night kicked off with some local love as Rae.L took the stage. From Tucson originally, she provided great energy and brought out some friends along the way. Her R&B sound with a pop twist was the perfect lead into the next act, Chloe Tang. 

Tang has been releasing music since 2017, with her 2019 song "Hype" racking up over 2 million Spotify streams. Her first album dropped in 2021, and since then she’s continued to push forward and make a name for herself. She’s put out two singles in 2024 so far, so keep an eye out for more from Chloe Tang!

With the second set wrapped up, anticipation was building. The lights went down, and the all too familiar beats of a classic Upsahl song, "Monica Lewinsky," began. A crowd favorite for sure, this was the perfect start to the set! 

Knowing exactly how to keep the crowd entertained and moving their feet, she played a few more of her hits, including one of my personal favorites, "Antsy." This song takes an introspective look into the mind of Upsahl and challenges her emotions in every way possible. It’s a very emotional and raw song that brings a vulnerability to the stage that the high energy of the set tends to overpower, but nonetheless, was a beautiful moment.

The energy in the venue was absolutely electric as Upsahl commanded the stage with her infectious presence and undeniable charisma. Her empowering lyrics had everyone singing along at the top of their lungs, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of unity and celebration. 

Upsahl's ability to connect with her fans on a deeply personal level is truly remarkable. She effortlessly balances high-octane anthems with introspective ballads, taking the audience on an emotional rollercoaster ride that leaves them craving more. Each song feels like a carefully crafted story, resonating with the audience's experiences and emotions. 

The concert was a testament to her incredible talent, authenticity, and unwavering passion for her craft. She left the stage covered in sweat and beaming with pride, knowing that she had delivered a truly unforgettable experience for her devoted fans.
