The Wandering Ear creates a Buy Me A Coffee account to keep us sustainable.

We created Buy Me Coffee account to keep TWE going and experiment with a 100% community/listener supported model.

Above is an audio recording detailing the reason behind creating a Buy Me A Coffee account and also why Daniel wants TWE to be 100% community/listener supported and not run any ads.

We made a Buy Me A Coffee account because we wanted to get closer to you all. We also wanted to test this idea of being a 100% ad-free & community/listener supported organization. We also think that this would be a great way to keep The Wandering Ear sustainable. By supporting us we can be able to throw better events, improve our podcast, throw more interactive events, and also be able to give our artists/community a platform to share their music & voices. Also, you allow TWE to start the process of compensating my friend Andi who recently joined, and any other contributors.

The Wandering Ear is an online music publication, podcast, and music discovery platform based out of Seattle WA. We talk about how music makes you feel & how it’s attached to a certain moment.

The Wandering Ear was started 4 years ago by Daniel Mathia. And at that moment Daniel was stressed, frustrated, and just looking for something more. So, after going through all of that The Wandering Ear came into his life and he hasn’t looked back since. He created The Wandering Ear as a way to share his love for music and his realization that music has a way of attaching to a certain moment/feeling.

Throughout the year’s Daniel has expanded to a podcast ( The Wandering Ear), music discovery playlist/platform (Friday Feels), event series ( Happily Sad & TWE & Friends) and many more projects. He’s also been able to meet some really cool people and create a community of people who love music. He’s also added a new team member his friend Andi to help with marketing/community management.

Lastly, The Wandering Ear has no intentions of doing anything that would go against our ethics which are Authenticity, Rawness, Connecting, and Experience. All of these words boil down to the original premise of The Wandering Ear which is that we are here for the community and the community & artists are the ones who keep TWE running. So, we give you our word that we will never veer off from that original message. We just feel to keep going we’d greatly appreciate your support.

Also, we can’t wait to meet you all in person/virtually. We can’t wait to continue building TWE with you all!

Much love!

Daniel & Andi TWE
