**We just saw this had an error message and never got uploaded so we apologize! Make sure you check our coverage for last year’s Dusk Music Festival!**
Dusk Music Festival concluded just over a month ago and we are still coming down from the high that was this fantastic festival! This was our second year attending Dusk as an outlet and let me tell you that just in one year the organizers behind the festival found a way to step it up! They thought of everything from bringing in more local food and beverage options to local vendors and businesses, partnering up with local organizations to include the local Tucson landscape, and bringing in the most prominent artist yet!
Sticking with the classic three main stages, Dusk was able to showcase every level of artist from local bands and DJs to emerging artists to household names! ON day one we were lucky enough to start off our day with the likes of ALUNA, Kyle Walker, Cannons and Spag Heady with Cannons being one of our favorite sets of the weekend! With their enthusiastic stage presence to making sure the crowd was with them the entire they really controlled the night before the headliners started to take the stage! We were super excited to catch Nora en Pure as she has been on our radar for some time now! We absolutely love the way she is able to put out songs that take you and transport you into this dreamy house-driven state of being! Don;t worry, we weren’t in that state for too long as we headed right over to Zombooy to get some headbanging in! Mixing up harder, emo/metal songs with electronic elements Zomboy had the crowd grabbing the rail and made sure necks were sore the next day!
We had such a good time on Friday that we were expecting to have one of the best times we’ve had at a festival on Saturday! Not only was it day 2 and we were eager to go, but one of my all-time favorite artists would be performing this evening! Alison Wonderland was set to take the stage and close out the night! Before that though, you know we had to catch the always wonderful Sofi Tukker and NGHTMRE. This was our first time seeing either of these artists and when I say they blew us away that is not an exaggeration. I know now that I will never miss a show of either of these artists if I am in the area! As I mentioned before, Alison was closing out the night and this was going to be our 4th time seeing her! Like the times before, she did not let us down giving us one of the most magical times of our lives!
Dusk featured more than just music, however! The art installations, food, and drinks, secret stages, and shopping were other elements to draw you into this festival! We love music but also huge food people over here! We made sure to snag a few of them, You Sly Dog hot dogs and were surprised by Culinary Dropout’s Meatloaf sandwich! While we were walking around eating we stumbled across a secret stage tucked through the back of a port-a-potty. When you opened the door you were greeted by streamers and fog leading you into a secret tent set up behind the port-a-potty! We thought this was one of the best things about the festival!
Dusk 2022 was one for the books and we had so much fun this year! Can’t wait to experience more events put on by the amazing crew and of course the next in
