1 year later. We are back.
Daniel finally writes a newsletter post. Welcome back new and old friends.
Hi, new & old friends!
It’s Daniel from The Wandering Ear! I feel like it’s been a whole year since I’ve written a newsletter! It’s kind of funny because for the last year on every single podcast episode, I’ve been talking about joining our newsletter and that we would update and yada yada but I haven’t done it until today!
Now, I could bore you with details on what has happened in a whole year since I’ve written a newsletter post. But instead, I’ll give you the cliff notes version. We added two new members to our team. They’re names are Marian & Yacine they help with the marketing side of TWE. We threw like 15 concerts last year. Including some pretty awesome Dj sets such as our “See You Space Cowboy”. We released our very first YouTube video on Treefort which was edited and filmed by the amazing SOVETHESECOND. We started a brand new podcast series called Dré’s Dispatch curated by the amazing Dré. We’ve also released 20-30 podcast episodes and are planning some awesome shows this summer in NYC, Boston, and other cities.
Below are some photos from See You Space Cowboy DJ set we organized for our friend Thycups. Photos were done by zair.jpg
For the longest time, I’ve always wanted to throw my own festival and so after some long nights of thinking and drinking lukewarm sparkling water, I’ve finally made the decision to do it. So, I want to formally introduce you to TWE & Friends Fest!
In short, TWE is organizing a 1-Day fest at Madame Lou in Seattle on June 22nd (All Ages Show) where it'll be a night of funk, indie, R&B, Bedroom Pop, Indie Rock, and everything in between. Most importantly, it'll be a night for music, conversations, community, and storytelling. We making this event a place where you can listen to some amazing artists and also make a friend or two at the same time.
For all of my Seattle friends, it would mean the world to TWE & myself if you came to this show! And because you are amazing I’ve made it to where the first 50 people will get early bird pricing for the show. It’ll be $12.00 a ticket. You can purchase tickets here.
Don’t worry for my none Seattle friends I didn’t forget about you. If you know anyone that lives in Seattle area then I would really appreciate if you shared the flyer and ticket link to your friends!
Lastly, I just want to give a huge thank you to every single one of you whose supported TWE either through buying a ticket to our shows last year, listening to our podcast, sharing our stuff, or just keeping us in your thoughts. It all means the world to me and I’m glad to be back writing and sharing some thoughts.
Until, next time I’ll leave you with this awesome DJ set by Eliza Rose. It had me groovin and dancing so hopefully it does the same for you.
See you later friends!
